Yes she did John, talk about mixing things up and wrongly spelt plus an unknown father turning up on her marriage
I would have thought the ONS would be DYSON and MMN would be shown as DYSON
Ah well keeps us on our toes
Louisa Maud
When the surname and mother’s maiden name are shown as the same on the GRO Index, it usually indicates the marriage between two people of the same name.
As for an unknown father on the marriage certificate, it could be another relative, or most likely a fictitious person to conceal illegitimacy. I have various examples in both mine and my husband’s tree
CHOULES All , COKER Harwich Essex & Rochester Kent
COLE Gt. Oakley, & Lt. Oakley, Essex.
DUNCAN Kent
EVERITT Colchester, Dovercourt & Harwich Essex
GULLIVER/GULLOFER Fifehead Magdalen Dorset
HORSCROFT Kent.
KING Sturminster Newton, Dorset. MONK Odiham Ham.
SCOTT Wrabness, Essex
WILKINS Stour Provost, Dorset.
WICKHAM All in North Essex.
WICKHAM Medway Towns, Kent from 1880
WICKHAM, Ipswich, Suffolk.
