There is a death of a Erle Charles Watson - 4 March 1996 Winnipeg Manitoba. Buried
Saint Vital Cemetery Winnipeg, Greater Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Plot   Ash Blk 6-1133-0

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/40475271

Perhaps this was Charles Watson who appeared on Canada Voters Lists - there didn't appear to be another Erle/Earl.................

Well done Sandra!

Obituary for Earl C Watson in the Winnipeg Free Press on March 7 1996.  It is definitely the right man.  He died March 4 1996 at St. Boniface Hospital.  He was 86.  Wife Ruth died Oct 2 1995.  Lists daughters and their families...also brother in law Glenn Stevens, and sister in law Betty Scott.  Says Earl was born in Toronto in Nov 1909 to Charles and Luella Watson.  Says he worked for the Canadian Bank of Commerce.  Talks about his time in the RCAF and what happened to him in the war.  After the war, he went back to work with the bank in Windsor, where he met and married Ruth.  They were transferred to Vancouver and then to Winnipeg.  He retired in 1970.

Terrific RK. Seemed to much of a coincidence for it not to be the Earl/Erle we were looking for.
