Can someone decipher these a service record for James jennings in 1904
« on: Tuesday 05 November 19 15:24 GMT (UK) »
This is a service record for James jennings in 1904.

The first image, on the top right, it says about distinguishing marks etc. It says ? Right shoulder blade?

The second image shows next of kin at the bottom. I can see it says no father, Think the mother it says mary? Guessing the sister is annie, but not sure of the brother. It also says something to the right of that, but can't make it out.

Thanks in advance

Might the mother be Mary Anne or Mary Anna?

Might the mother be Mary Anne or Mary Anna?

That is what I see as well.
As for the note to the right of the next of kin, I am wondering if it could be where they reside.  The second word might be "Som" for Somerset?

I see Mary Anna & wonder if the place name prior to 'Som'(s) is Yeovil?

I can see where you are coming from with Yeovil --- but it was indecipherable to me! However I was going to look at the actual Military Record for him --- but the name on the top of image page provided is John Jennings - not James Jennings as shown in the title of this query.

I had assumed our OP had made a simple typo, however if not a typo s/he may want to check a few things to be sure?

Yes, probably a typo -- the brother looks like James.
