John Ellis marriage to Jane Morrall
« on: Saturday 09 November 19 20:32 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone view this for me? married in 1750. The only Jane Morrall i can find which fits was born around 1706 so i presume she was married before-maybe to Francis Chapman in 1722 but i cant find a death for him?

If she was previously married she would have married John Ellis as Chapman - not Morrall

Can anyone view this for me?

It's free to view on findmypast at the moment.
Burial of a Jane Ellis at Wellington, 16 Aug 1791, age 65
Only baptism in Shropshire I can see is Jane, daughter of Sam: Moorhal at Shrewsbury St Chad, 6 June 1730. Not sure if very likely.
A burial at Wellington, 11 August 1783, of a Dorothy Morrhall, age 85. Again, may be no connection...

Thanks bud, death age would then be born 1726 which fits with the 1750 marriage, not sure about the 1730 baptism then bit late? But thats the only one that would fit. Could be just a spelling thing? On her marriage its spelt Morrall

There aren't a lot of options, and certainly very few clues at the moment! But do try to get a look at the images while you can. Another thread on here tells you how you can still download them (thanks Carol)

you have to remember children weren't always baptised straight away in the 1700's- especially if dad was a Farmer / Ag Labourer and poor and had to work away - poor people sometimes waited up to 5 years to baptise children ...
