Weston of Kynnersley
« on: Monday 11 November 19 19:59 GMT (UK) »
Hello all,

In need of some help solving the Weston family of Kynnersley... They all like to use the same names for their children.

Here is what I have so far...

My4xG,Grandmother Elizabeth Weston bn 1826, Kynnersley.
I believe her mother is Ann bn 1794 to William and Sarah.

Ann never married and had 3 illegitimate children that I know of Sarah 1819 and Thomas 1831, are the other two.

I'd like to see if I could go further back but I'm stuck at William and Sarah. There is a marriage 28/11/1791 for a William Weston to a Sarah Latham.

I can't find any other children to William and Sarah.

There is two other families at the same time in Kynnersley. Both William but with an Alice and Margaret.

I'm hoping that someone might be able to see something I haven't?!

Thank you in advance to anyone who has a peek at this one!

Katie :)

Hiya
I had a peek and as you say they only had one child and that marriage in 1791 looks like them
One of the witnesses to the Marriage is Margaret Weston. The other Richard Pickering. No reference to whether they have been married before.William signed.

We have

William Weston baptised 31.1.1779 to William and Margaret.
Edward 4.11.1780
Mary 30.5.1782
Anne 16.3.1784
Mary 13.6.1786
John 173.1790

Margaret d of William and Alice 3.8.1786
Elizabeth 11.3.1774
Thomas 22.4.1776
Sarah 12.12.1778
Richard 21.3.1784
Wife Alice buried 29.10.1786

William farmer and Margaret Latham  married 22.10.1778  wit Mary Latham and William Bould.
Made mark Again no marital status for William.

William batch of Kinnersley married Alice Whittingham at Edgmond 5.9.1773 spinster
William signed witnesses Thomas Weston and William Bolas (parish clerk).

There is a Will for a William Weston in 1792
burial 30.4.1792 age 64 so born 1728.
Farmer He leaves bequests to his wife Margaret ,and then at her death to son John  and son William
But then confusingly Margaret wife of William was buried 22.6.1788,but lets ignore that and go with the info from the Will.

If we go with William Weston widower born 1728 marrying Margaret Latham in 1771 and his son William marrying Alice in 1773 with Alice dying in child birth 1786.
Then the son would be free and alive to have married Sarah Latham in 1791.

Damn that doesn't fit because of William and Margaret's son in 1779.
And now by time has run out on the Library computer
Damn again
