I have traced my 4x great grandfather (Thomas Deaves Born 1797 to 1861 his wife Sarah Cartwright born 1798 to 1872 and their 8 children ) to 21 Bevington Bush Liverpool, in a trade directory Thomas is listed as a shoe and bootmaker , would anyone have an pictures or maps of this address or any info on Thomas Deaves.

I have now drawn a total blank on him and cannot get back any further, I have managed to keep going back with his wife but it’s thomas that I’m interested in

I can’t be much help but when he married Sarah in Shrewsbury there was an Edward DEAVES witnessing the marriage.

A brother perhaps ? Or at least a relation.

by coincidence were his parents also Thomas and Sarah ?
I wonder if this is 2 of Thomas Deaves b 1797 siblings - Thomas is a Cordwainer = shoe and bootmaker

a stab in the dark but maybe worth making a note of ??

The only couple I had managed to find were a Thomas & Sarah Deaves baptising children in Shrewsbury from about c1800. I couldn’t spot a marriage but the one in London looks good. The son Edward was a publican in London who went bankrupt from a newspaper article I spotted.

EDIT: There is a Mary Ann Deaves in the Shrewsbury register too - witnessing a marriage.

The address is actually 21 Bevington Bush Road not 21 Bevington Bush these are two different locations close to each other. For reference here is the 1821 Gore's Directory record image and an 1836 map:-

Would anyone be able to shed some light on my ancestors first wife?

Here’s an excerpt from baptism records which mentions Sarah Oddie is his 2nd wife.

My limited knowledge research suggests first wife was

Thomas Deaves born 1759 died 1832
First wife? Sarah Green born 1732 died 1789

they were married 10th nov 1788.

Would anyone have a link to a death cert / birth cert?
