I wonder if any one could help my brother in law

we have a copy wedding cert. 26 Oct 1866 Married in Stobo, James Rillie(dec) and Jane Mcbride,  James parents are given as George Rillie and Elizabeth Rillie (m.s. Cochen) But we can't find anything on the name Cochen neither at Edinburgh or the L.D.S. Any help would be appreciated

Hiya,

Cochen?  Now that's an odd one  ??? - could it be Cochan, Cochren or Cochran?  These are names you find quite a lot?

Just a thought.  Can you scan and attach that part of the cert and we could have a look?

Cochen appears to be an English name, there are plenty in England.  As LDS query shows a number in Yorkshire and London.  Could be she arrived from the big city.
