'Moneyrea Meeting House' County Down.
« on: Friday 22 November 19 02:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone,

A couple were married in:

Moneyrea Meeting House according to the ceremony of the Moneyrea congregation by licence by me Richard Lyttle.

Any ideas which church that is? I was thinking the Moneyreagh Non Subscribing Presbyterian Church.  It's been around in that area since 1719.

Thank you so much in advance.

Richard Lyttle was indeed minister of the non-subscribing Presbyterian Church in Moneyrea.

Have you looked at the PRONI Historical Maps viewer?
Use it to search and browse seven historical OSNI maps.

https://apps.spatialni.gov.uk/PRONIApplication/

If you type ‘Moneyreagh’ in ‘Find address or place’ box and then click top right ‘Layer List’ and choose map.

Thank you so much KG! That would explain the 'Independent' on the census record, instead of Presbyterian. I'll bookmark that link for further research, thank you.
