Looking for any information regarding Frederick Evan John, member of the Royal Corp of Signals in WW2. Thought I would try here first before applying through military records.

Frederick Evan John was born in 1916 Cardiff. In 1941 Frederick was in Egypt and was apparently injured or was taken ill and recuperated in Egypt.

Am doing this for a friend and that is all I have at present.  If anyone can help my friend will be extremely grateful.

Your friend really has no choice other than to apply for his records (he won't need his service number).

If he knows which unit(s) of the R Sigs he served in and when, war diaries, not on line, can be identified and a possible outline of service guessed at but only his record will have detail.

You may have this but in case, the process is here and easier for a relative.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
