quite possible Sinann, can you make out James Status, it looks like 'widower'?...also his occupation?

Agree, it does look like widower. His occupation appears to be 'shopkeeper'.

This might be the death of his first wife, Margaret.

Regs James father David, I came across entries for marriage's in Cork in 1838/1841 which may be relevant.

On July 7th 1838, William Clancy wed's Ellen Barry in Cork, the 'best man' David Clancy.
On 6-11-1841, David Clancy wed's Elizabeth Hartigan S S Peter and Paul Cork.

There were no further details regs Father etc.

But having noticed that on the Headstone at Bigown in Mitchelstown the earliest entry was for
'William Clancy aged 40 died 20-1-1835'

This is the same family plot that Julia Clancy (daughter of James) was interred in when she passed away in 1983...taking this into account I think it's fair to assume that 'William' dod 1835 was very possibly her Great Grandfather?

There is a David Clancy born to James Clancy shopkeeper and Margaret Condon 1885
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1885/02644/1975153.pdf

A Mary in 1884 James is a Carpenter on this one
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1884/02688/1990199.pdf

Johanna 1883, Carpenter
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1883/02733/2004953.pdf

On the 1901 census its states that James was 'Carpenter/Publican, I know it wasnt unusual for the local Pub to also act as a 'Grocery Shop', therefore that would make sense to have the ref for 'shopkeeper' show up on documents, I googled the address at North Cork St Mitchelstown and the building (if still the same as 1901/1911) looks very much like it could have been the very same 'shop/pub', I also took into consideration that James may have been some sort of 'cabinet maker' carrying on business from the premises...bit of a multi tasker by all accounts?

Maybe you can give us a few names and dates.

Have you used the free IrishGenealogy search site to look for your Clancys?

Looking at Mitchelstown there are 274 BMD records.

Thanks Kiltaglassan.  I have looked up and down on Irish Genealogy but cannot find birth certs for James Clancy or his first wife Margaret Condon or a marriage cert for them both.
Also I can't find a birth cert for William Clancy, their first born. However I did find a baptism cert for William dated 1882. He died in 1967, his age on his gravestone is 83, his memory card is 80 and his baptism cert would make his age 85???
