Might be best to wait for confirmation first.  Also - possibility she may have been cremated

Ernest Sidney Allison born 1.5.1897 died February 1986

You may have to establish exactly where she died as the Gloucester RD covered a number of areas

 :(

Bad news: All the wonderful information that you folks have found is NOT for my Elsie Elizabeth Allison. I've contacted the grandson and he informs me of the following information:

Grandfathers name: George William Allison
Grandmothers maiden name: Morris

I've been searching Family search and perhaps this is the marriage:
George William Allison
Eton, Buckinghamshire, England
Oct-Nov-Dec 1931
possible spouse:
Elsie V Morris

Same first name as the grandmother but middle initial V, problem as I'm told Elizabeth.

Any suggestions? Should I move this discussion to Buckinghamshire?

Thanks again.

No don't bother to move it we can carry on here.

Based on the Eton marriage there were six births five girls, one boy between 1932 and 1941.  Does that sound right?

I'll have  a look and see if I can find a death for this Elsie.  Any idea when she was born?

I've send the information to the grandson and hope to hear back. On my own I've been using the marriage of a George William Allison and Elsie Victoria Morris as a starting point. You folks noted they had 6 children and whilst searching the BMD records for the children that I came across the key to my search. The child Kathleen (born Eton 1934) married a Reginald Shipperley, 1955. The name Shipperley is the last name of the grandchild that I am helping.
So now the question is regarding how to locate her burial place.

Family Search has provided me with the following data: I wonder if her place of death was Salthill, were she was living with her husband at the time of his death.

Apr-May-Jun
Registration Year 1981
Registration District   Chiltern & Beaconsfield
County Buckinghamshire
Event Place   Chiltern & Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England
Birth Date (available after June quarter 1969)  16 Jan 1907
Volume  19
Page  0949
Affiliate Line Number  2

Again I thank you all for your help. Now its on to locating the burial place so that this grandson can visit upon his upcoming trip to the UK.

Cheers

You could try contacting the Parish Clerk for Burnham Council

Parish Clerk
Annie Arscott
clerk@burnhamparish.gov.uk

Explain what you require and ask if she can help or point you in the right direction.

Bear in mind the possibility that Elsie was cremated not buried.  Have you thought about obtaining her death certificate to see who the informant was?
