Thomas Edy of Killeaghgoge
« on: Thursday 05 December 19 18:01 GMT (UK) »
Hi All
Does anyone know where Killeaghgoge in Co. Tyrone is?

Thomas Edy is mentioned as being from there in - The state of the Protestants of Ireland under the late King James's government in which their carriage towards him is justified, and the absolute necessity of their endeavouring to be freed from his government, and of submitting to their present Majesties is demonstrated. King, William, 1650-1729

His son Hugh ended up as a trader in Londonderry but I am really interested in where the homestead was before they moved into the City.
Thanks
Robert

Should have said Thomas Eddy (Edie) who I am assuming to be the same person is mentioned in the Hearth Money Rolls as being from Drumragh. This is near Omagh. Just wondering if this is roughly the same place or if he had moved. Thanks

Allowing for a change in spelling over the years I wonder if it could be Killyclogher

perhaps the Down Survey maps might help

Thanks. I know they ended up in Derry but where this is has been a mystery to me. You could be right. I just wondered if anyone had any other information. Thanks again
