My apologies, in advance, for this, but:

If William, a Butler, was convicted of stealing from his employer, Mr Karslake, then on his release I cannot see him EVER being employed as a Butler again.  Whatever employment his children entered on their marriage entries is whatever they wished to say - sorry, but not necessarily the "truth" (how many fictitious fathers have we come across on marriage entries  :o).
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Is this him?

Dunno.
There is a death on ancestry, 7 July 1899, of a William Hutchinson, age 70
Looks like it might be from the records of the St Marylebone Guardians?

Death reg
Sep 1899 Kensington 1a 64
Hutchinson, William
age 70

Is it the butler who was in the Marylebone Infirmary in 1896/7? :-\

So that should be the Register of Deaths at Ladbroke Grove Infirmary.
