Romford area - local employer 'Stirling'

i'm researching a local war memorial and one of the men mentioned worked for "Stirling Works" at the time of the 1911 census.  Can anyone tell me what type of work this firm did or where it was located?  Thank you.

If you Google Sterling works Dagenham there is some information.  They appear to have been a telephone and electric company

between 1910 and 1913 the Sterling Telephone and Electric Co.
