It must have been a very rapid ceremony with all those revs available!  :P ;D

OK. I'll go quietly.

...and thick and fast, they came at last...or words to that effect.
Extraordinary what can be revealed if you know where to look.  And thanks so much for the key, Christine 53, would never have guessed what the Latin for solicitor might have been, or do I mean the other way round, with Pragmaticus...
Many thanks again to all concerned, and that vital clue that takes things back another generation deep into the 18thC in Ireland, with James BIRON.

Coming forward again, I have an interest in his daughter Ruth. With her widowed mother, she was a founder member of a Women's Institute, whose history I have researched.

Hanes Teulu,
I certainly shall, they obviously were a high achieving family.  I notice in that Trinity Dublin list, another son to James and Eleanor,  a Henry BIRON, with an 1817 date, and the word Generosus rather than Pragmaticus - now what area of professional expertise would that be?
And Topofthehill, I've only just come to this BIRON family history, with many willing helping hands on this thread.  Have not therefore come across another sibling Ruth.  Perhaps she gets a mention in that 1858 will of James...
