Their daughter,who was born in Edinburgh doesn't seem to be mentioned in the obit?

The divorce could have been anywhere, nothing showing- Roland did travel around a lot - maybe even Texas where he remarried in 1949 or 1950

The young lady you mention born 1945 is still living (you will need to remove her name) - married in Newington 1965 - Scotlands People has that information.
