# seen reply so maybe 6 brides for 6 aliases

,*Alice A  eliminated I thought LOOMIS was her daughter's surname

You are too quick for me to keep up .

I wanted to concentrate this thread on the actors musicians and wives
If anyone else can add amend or eliminate enjoy the hunt

But your quoting wrong information.............Joseph Schlernitzen later Andre and Alice Kuster with a daughter Josephine Schlernitzen/Anbdre/ Loomis are nothing to do with the other thread.

Sandra I've added some provisos to make clear I don't know all answers
1 of my replies didn't post

And I think my wording wasn't clear about which names places and dates weren't confirmed .

I avoided giving details of the Scottish " disproved' wife and husband

DNA Comparers:
Something I think is strange is that my mother who had family in the theatrical world has at least one DNA match if small to people with each of the Alias names and Josef s mother s surname BRUER

And has matches to LINSCOTT  CRAFT and HARLE  + WHITEHEAD names

Can that be a coincidence as they are small amounts for each or could we link to this man

I'm not sure how many children he had in totally but apparently he had several siblings too .
Some of the ANDRE  blood must be running all over the world in lots of people

The other Pelzer man was ruled out but I think he did use that name and the fact he named his son Pelzer is a clue

Clara Minnie HARLE had his baby Pelzer HARLE in 1892 Dewsbury England  (later known as Peter George KOKLER)

Could you say please where exactly did you find this information? The only reference I can find suggests that Joseph Pelzer was Pelzer Harle’s father https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=821701.msg6845068#msg6845068 Replies 50 & 51

7 brides may be an exaggeration too as he didn't actually marry Clara HARLE

Some of his wives were chorus girls so may have had stage names as well as official names and be same personn

winnifred Aline SECKER remarried in
1932 I wonder if she got divorce or an annulment or claimed to be a widow

If you read reply 87 on the other thread you will see JenB wrote on page 10 -

There is a further marriage in Kingston, Ontario in 1932, the bride is 27 year old Winifred Alice Andre, a widow.

Just for everyone's information
In Sweden and some other countries at that era
Family names didn't exist as such in some communities people were just given first name ,+  Albert son
Or Catherine's daughter

Hence why Ms Kraft the chorus girl can be found in Sweden with her mother Katheine Sveindotter
On USA document s the mother's name has been angliscized
so all children of svein are now SWANSON   as surname

Ander anders Anderson would all be acceptable surnames for children of Andreas Herman Josef ANDRE

The father of musical director

Am I interested in the Scottish Joseph PELZER other musical director of same era  too
Pelzer means Peter so tho a different family he could be son of Peter something
I have 3 ancestors who worked I. Theatres as dressers and an escapologist

And seem to have a DNA link with chorus girl ms  HARLE
And a Joseph Earnst ANDRE in Prussia (germany Poland)
In early 1800's

Please excuse my incapacity to open multiple boxes and memorize all dates and names .working from mobile ohine

:'(bI have a few theories in mind because of the DNA connections but I'm interested in knowing about the type of performance of the time anyway especially if anyone comes across any escape ologists I'm now using dictaphone function .but it won't do names
.
for other posts I have I have to go back and correct or modify after posting because of visual problems please avoid copying my clips while they are still full of typos  or dates names not complete

I'd rather add first name and dates later than rely on my memory when so many names involved

Jan's reply 12 sends to a news link of Carla Harle performing in
With Joseph PELZER s company

I'd like a list of those performers my working theory is that the 2 musical directors were not same man but cousins or brothers

http://composers-classical-music.com/a/AndreJoseph.htm

This is a great summary of Joseph Andres life on 1 easy to view
Easy to open page
But sources unknown

It also lists Compositions attributed to him

( Wouldn't put it past this man to appropriate work of a similarly named man )

Link found on John s post about Joseph PELZER
