Robert Wilkinson Edgmond, Shropshire

Forgive me, I have asked about Robert Wilkinson, my 3 x great grandfather, before.
He was born c. 1822 and died 10th November 1863, Edgmond, Shropshire.
The 1851 census finds him living with his wife and young family living in Edgmond, Shropshire, aged 29, born in Drayton, Shropshire.
The 1861 census, again living in Edgmond, aged 40, but birth place given as Edinburgh, Scotland???
On his marriage certificate in 1843 his surname is spelt Whilkson, his father named as George Whilkson a stonemason.
Can anyone please locate Robert in the 1841 census either in Shropshire or Scotland??? A newspaper report regarding his death eludes to him being a former soldier but again have found no record
