Don't restrict the birth year to 1869 - it is there I have bought it up. Death is on both Ancestry and FindMyPast and cert. must say estimated DOB 1870.

I have to say that I find FindMyPast very useful.  However, like every other site, it does not cover every aspect of every part of our research.

And, searching in the B M D section, using Ada Jackson, born 1869+/- 2 years - she is the third entry - year of birth = 1870, year of death = 1956, Location = Hull.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Remember, especially on death certs, that the information on the cert. is only as good as the person registering knows.

Couple of sources for Ada on Ancestry - UK, Medical and Dental Students Registers, 1882-1937 and UK Medical Registers, 1859-1959. Ada registered as a student in 1899 and is listed in the register until 1955. The Medical Registers may be available in some large libraries or university libraries as well as the Medical Directory. You sometimes get additional qualification in the directory.
