I would personally recommend updating any software to the latest version every few years, since you never know when some Windows update will render older software suddenly "incompatible." (By which they mean "We could have made this still work but we couldn't be bothered to do the work. The very fact you are still using this software means you aren't part of our target demographic anyway.")

Having decided to stay with FTM any suggestions as to best place to purchase.
