Yes, thank you for sharing.

We've all had as much thrill on your behalf as you had in the discovery.

Nothing's like that moment when the clues all fall into place!

https://www.covenanter.org/reformed/2016/4/26/section-ii  as far as I can tell from this site Viktoria Rev Adam Brown (the minister in question) was quite a prominent agitator and attracted loyal followers.  There were several churches between the family's farm and Mr Brown's church but I think they were mostly established CoS or of different viewpoints.  How my ancestor met Mr Brown in the first place or learned of his sermons, views etc may never be answered.

Brilliant pharmaT that is an interesting article on Rev Adam Brown and the Covenanters.

After its break from the Catholic Church, Scotland had a colorful religious history - blame John Knox. Even today there are various Protestant denominations in Scotland. We have for example the Church of Scotland which is recognised as the Established Church, The Free Church of Scotland and the United Free Church of Scotland. All very confusing to say the least.

Is anyone brave enough to read the tirade written by John Knox called "The Monstrous Regiment of Women"  :)

Gosh you have been working hard pharmaT and that's great news.

Yes, SP being down is frustrating but I suppose they have to do their maintenance work.

Happy hunting
