Druids Medallion
« on: Saturday 18 January 20 06:59 GMT (UK) »
In 1830, my great great grandfather John Newman was given a Druids medallion. The inscription reads: “Presented by the Grand Lodge of Druids to P.G.A. John Newman July 13th, 1830.”
Any idea what P.G.A. might have stood for? He was a maker of musical instruments and he might have joined a Druids social gathering for those with musical interests at the King's Arms in central London.
