Marriage Lookup 1876 Gedling All Hallows

I think I'll get the marriage cert at some point. When I do I'll update the thread with what I find.

so for anyone whose interested in this in the future.

I bought the cert. Joseph Watson was aged 30 at marriage and his father was William. Mary Ann Holmes was aged 18 and her father was John. Both fathers occupations were listed as J.W.R or maybe I.W.R. 

The witnesses were Henry X Bird and Elizabeth X Goltern? (almost illeg)

Could that be F.W.K?

That would fir with the 1841 Census I posted;

Yeh it could be F.W.R actually.
In either case I don't know what it stands for...  I'd post a screenshot of it but I don't know if you can do that on rootschat..

actually it could be F.W.K which might be Frame Work Knitter

I'm confident that I found Joseph Watsons parents. Mary Ann Holmes are more difficult. I'll have a look for any Johns involved in the text tile industry.
