As far as I can see Jessie Blair remarried in 1944 to a man called Frank Knight.

Her father worked in Slough VAD hospital during WW1 as a porter, he went by the name of James but is listed on the red cross website.

I know Robert was in hospital in that area and as far as I can see that was his only connection to the area. I'm wondering if the 19 year old Jessie had been either working or volunteering there (she isn't listed on the red cross site), met Robert while he was a patient towards the end of the war and ended up marrying him.

It's a nice story but it's another thing trying to prove it.
