Childrens Home
« on: Tuesday 21 January 20 11:14 GMT (UK) »
I have just learned that a member of our family was put into a childrens home, Primrose Hill,Aberdeen in 1919 because his mother had died.  Has anyone heard of this and were any records kept of this childrens home, Many thanks

I have been assuming that my relative went into Primrose Hill childrens home when his mother died.  Were there any other childrens homes in Aberdeen around 1920?  Many thanks.

Have a look at www.childrenshomes.org.uk.

They might list more homes in Aberdeenshire.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
