Just on the offchance someone has access to this marriage - I would love the details!

Don't need anything else about this pair (have found out loads, trying to find some info that would rule them "in" or "out" as mine) but a fathers name from a marriage cert would help me know if it is "my" Benjamin or not!

There’s a Harriet Rodgers marrying Alfred Selby on 6 May 1849 at Sheffield Parish Church (now the cathedral) her father was Thomas Rodgers cutter his father Alexander Selby scissorsmith.  Neither bride or groom signed the register

Newspaper notice in the Sheffield Independent 8 Sep 1849 says it was 'on Wednesday' at St Judes Church, Eldon Street.  Benjamin Smith, Schoolmaster to Miss Harriet Wells Rodgers, both of Sheffield.

Yes, I have tried Sheffield indexers but they don't have it.

I have the children's baptisms etc, their marriages and descendents, and the family on all censuses, and everything about them, thanks. That isn't the problem!  None of it is relevant if it isn't the right Benjamin ....

5 Sept 1849 at St Judes, Eldon St.

Benjamin Smith aged 24, Father William Smith
Harriet Wells Rodgers aged 24 father Charles Rodgers.
