River Lightship man
« on: Saturday 25 January 20 18:28 GMT (UK) »
William Reid  (1864 Wexford- 1920 Hoboken New Jersey)  was shown to be a River Lightship man at the birth of his daughter in 1909 in Liverpool.

Soooo anyone have any information in which ‘Lightship’ he could have been attached to? I am presuming that he was attached to one out of Liverpool as he was living there I can’t find him at the moment on a crew list if there would be any for a Lightship

Thank you Mike it’s a good bet he was on one  of those. I would think that only for a short while as he was also in the merchant service. But later in the Army in   Gallipoli during WW1
