« on: Sunday 02 February 20 00:02 GMT (UK) »
Buckley Butler - Baptized 27 Jan 1695 in Saint Michans in Dublin, son of maybe Thomas and Sarah? First marriage to Mary Waring. Second marriage to Elizabeth (Molyneux) Kelly-Shuldham. Possible owner of Meat Market in Kilkenny. Death in 1737? Father of a John Butler, Sarah (Butler) Goddard and Elizabeth (Butler) Robinson-Mathews. Looking for any other info on this man, his familial connection to the Butler families of Ireland, any other info on his children.

The rest is too vague to even start looking...

e.g.  First marriage to Mary Waring..... of where?

There is one Mary in Kilkenny but could waste hours looking only to be told she was Mary Waring of Waringstown, Co Down lot!

Kelly-Shuldhams are well documented

Re Mary Waring, Prerogative Marriage Licence Bonds for Ossory list her with Buckley in 1721. I’ve assumed she’s from Co Kilkenny. Buckley has a brother Thomas who’s a surgeon in Kilkenny and he owned a meat market in Kilkenny City. His will has his brother Thomas, his brother-in-law Pooley Molyneux and William Waring as executors. William Waring is possibly Mary Waring’s brother

Elizabeth Molyneux first married Bryan Kelly, then after his death in 1716 she marries Lemuel Shuldham. After his death in 1721, she marries Buckley Butler.

Yes thanks, I’ve utilized the following which were useful for Buckley and his lateral family and his descendants.
https://archive.org/stream/testamentaryreco00clar/testamentaryreco00clar_djvu.txt
https://books.google.com/books?id=usQuAAAAIAAJ&lr=&num=10

My main interest is in trying to see how Buckley (and his father and mother Thomas and Sarah) fits into the Butler family. These Butlers did not hold titles and so don’t show up in references like “The Chief Butlers of Ireland and the House of Ormond”. Given the timeframe and lack of records, perhaps this is not possible.

I understand but seeing the likes of Elizabeth (Molyneux) Kelly-Shuldham makes me wonder if at some stage they connect with this lot via a side-branch or twig....

..or are all names just coincidence??
