Unable to locate birth of great grandmother

Hello sorry to trouble you but I’m trying to locate the birth certificate of my great grandmother Catherine Reynolds.

She was born in Liverpool (I was told where China Town is today ) on 25 sept 1892.
She married in 1912 Barrow Shropshire and gives her step Father’s name as Edward Jones Stadler. Husband being Richard Childs.

Catherine’s mother is an Eliza Reynolds who marries Edward Jones on 1896 Toxteth st michaels. One child was born after called Annie in 1896 but sadly dead before she was one.

Catherine dead in 1970 Wellington Shropshire   and her death was registered by her daughter saying she born on 26 sept 1890 Liverpool.

Im unable to locate her birth certificate on the general register office website.

Any help is much appreciated..

Have you already discounted the Dec qtr 1892 birth in Liverpool?

Have you found her in 1901/1911?  Was she definitely born in Liverpool?  Where and when was Eliza born?

1896 marriage cert shows Edward Jones was 58 - widower- occ saddler.  Eliza was 27

I was going to suggest that one too Carole.

There are a couple of births in 1893 which may also be worth looking at - her daughter may not have been sure of her year of birth when she registered Eliza’s death ..., so maybe expand the search years?

Added: How do you know that Eliza is Catherine’s mother if you don’t have her birth certificate? (Presumably she is step daur to Edward Jones in the 1901 census)? (And on her marriage cert too)

Is Catherine still at home with family in the 1911 census?

When Catherine Reynolds Jones married Richard Childs in 1912

Catherine states her father is Edward Jones a Stadler.

Edward and Eliza Jones are living in 1911 census in Broseley

Edward states he has one child living being a step daughter.
