Where was Alice born?

Alice Bliss 1847-1931, married Thomas Stephen New in 1866 Bristol. According to the marriage translation Alice's father is Thomas Bliss.
Now the census say Alice was born in Bristol but can I find a birth reg for her on the GRO or FreeBMD sites no that is not for Bristol. There is a birth reg for a Alice Bliss in Birmingham in 1846, found a baptism for this Alice in 1847 but the father's name is James Bliss.

Any help would be appreciated

I see only on fitting marriage for a Thomas Bliss. He is a baker.
