Hi Colin

This is all very interesting to me.  I have not found the Ley family very easy to trace - possibly because the name is so common in the Barnstable area and has so many variations ie Leigh, Lee etc.  However, your details tie in well with what I have already, so we obviously have the right family.

According to my family tree maker programme we are 3rd cousins once removed - assuming that I have recorded everything correctly!

If you are able to private message me with your e-mail address I will run a genealogy report and send you the information that I have.

I am also related to you as Mary Ann Ley is also my 2nd Gt grandmother.
