CWGC are looking for relatives of Sergeant EdwinJames Lester - born 1890 died 17/5/1916  Warrington Hospital from wounds received in France.  Royal Fusiliers - Service number 6767

The private memorial marking the grave of Serg Lester is no longer adequate commemoration.  CWGC are in the process of producing a new headstone to mark his grave at Clifton Hamden (St Michaels Chuirchyeard) 

Oxfordshire, England, Church of England Deaths and Burials, 1813-1965  records the burial with a guard of honour.

the 1911 free index shows - Edwin with parents Clifton Hampden, Abingdon.

Two births at Abingdon which might fit this couple - Edwin J Didcock - 1917 - 2c 455
and Eric S Didcock - 1921 - 2c 560

Possible death reg - Annie Didcock 6 December 1887 - January 1977 - aged 80 years. Ealing Greater London.
