On WDYTYA they all have a team of researchers, many of them, delving into their tree, and they probably have access to records that Joe Soap cannot get unless they make a long trip to Kew or wherever.

I have my own family tree to research, but occasionally have had to lop off a branch when I found new evidence that goes against what I have thought, hence why I never take the "leap of faith" any more, and unless proven, candidaites stay out. Occasionally the wrong line is more interesting than the right line, but the other way round has applied many times, the right line is more interesting and colourful than the wrong line.
