Hi I have recieved the following response from Nivelles

n'y a pas d'acte de naissance au nom de Philippart le 26-01-1927 à Nivelles. D'autre part, je tiens à vous informer que seuls les actes de naissance de plus de 100 sont librement consultables.

Can I ask for translation, my wife can some but not all.

They say there is no birth registered under the name of Philippart on the 26th January 1927 in Nivelles. They also point out that birth records are closed to the public for 100 years

I'm not sure why they put the 26th. I thought it was the 16th.

Hi Thanks fo translation. Yes I noticed the 26th. My email to them definitely said 16th. So will go back to them.

Quite frustrating.
The only other thing I can think of is the neighbouring municipality of Thines.
That's where Désiré Philippart (possibly Gilberte's father) came from.
Also the birth registered in 1911 in Nivelles (Désiré's daughter) was followed by her death registered in 1912 but this time in Thines, with Thines being specified as place of residence. Maybe there were just briefly in Nivelles. Thines is only a few kms from Nivelles.
