Hi all I hope someone might be able to give me some ideas here.
I am trying to locate a christening for a Thomas Brett in the Westwell area of Kent in about 1645 but so far I haven't been able to find any Bretts born in Westwell in the 1640s. I know that Thomas married twice and had 8 children, 1 by his first wife [Martha Jones] and 7 by his second wife Ann Jerman [nee Gravett] who he married by licence in 1679.
All of Thomas and Ann's children are named in her Will dated April 1707 but so far I haven't been able to spot any christenings for the following children
Elizabeth
Bridget
Thomas
Sarah
Can anyone else spot any possible christenings for these for children between 1679 and 1707 [when both Ann and Thomas died]?
I'm also hoping someone might be able to help me clarify a puzzle regard Thomas Brett himself.
Thomas was born c1645 but so far I haven't been able to find any christening for a Thomas born around that date. The closest christening I have found is for a Thomas Brett, son of Percival, christened in Wye, in 1639.
Does anyone think this might be the same person as my Thomas from Westwell?
