Arthur Edward Stearn
« on: Friday 06 March 20 14:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I have an Arthur Edward Stearn b. 27 January 1914, in Parker's Terrace, Hadleigh, Suffolk, to George Charles Stearn and Alice Stearn, formerly Baker.

I cannot find any other records at all for him.

I would really appreciate some suggestions on what I can do to find out more about him.

Many thanks

He is on the 1939 Register with the birthdate you have (Ancestry as Steam)
FindMyPast has the second person revealed

I think you'll find he was the Arthur Edward Stearn death in 1978 in Wantage, Oxfordshire - this shows a birthdate of 27th January 1911 and think this birthyear is an error and should read 1914.  (There was no such birth in 1911).

In 1939 he is in Hampshire - search with surname 'Steam' rather than Stearn.

He appears to have married a Dorothy I. Winter in Kingsclere, Hampshire in 1939 - she died as Dorothy Irene Stearn born 27th February 1921, died Sept.1994 Oxford, Oxfordshire.
