Commonwealth War Graves Commission are looking for relatives of Warrant Officer Class 2 - Harry Thomas Elcome - 6197661 who died 19 February 1944 - buried Hampstead Cemetery.

Harry was the son of Thomas and Louise Elcome (nee Meynell). Sadly Harry, his mother Louise, sister Dorothy Smith (nee Elcome), her husband Albert John Smith and daughter Ann Carole Smith, all perished as a result of an enemy air attack at their home in Dennington Park Mansions, West End Lane, N.W.3. 

They were all laid to rest at Hampstead Cemetery on the 25th February 1944 in adjoining graves in the Special Plot, which was created for civilian casualties although Harry and Albert were both serving soldiers.

Harry served his country in WW2 as Warrant Officer Class 11 6197661 2nd. Bn. Middlesex Regiment and at the time of his passing Harry was 36 years of age.

brother Frederick William Elcome - 25 years old - bachelor - painter - - married  25 December 1930 Holy Trinity, Haverstock Hill, Camden to Maud Elizabeth Packer aged 23 years - spinster -  Father  of Frederick was Thomas Henry Elcome.

Frederick W Elcome born 1906 - died 1964 - aged 58 years - registered Islington London - 5c 852

Maud Elizabeth Elcome born 16 May 1907 died aged 91 years - Hertfordshire - A43 - 5301A - entry No 64.

This couple had a son born in 1932 - "D" and another son born 1936 "P J"
