Maurice or Manrise
« on: Saturday 07 March 20 17:42 GMT (UK) »
Hi can someone please double check a surname on a marriage for me?

Philip Anderson was married at St Nicholas at Wade on 2 August 1675 to a woman named Elizabeth. For some odd reason I have her name written down as Manrise and also Maurice in my notes. Is anyone able to confirm which it is or if it's something different?

Many thanks
Matt

I think it says Maurice.  The 'c' in Maurice is very different from the 's' in Anderson as are the 'n' and 'u'.
