« on: Wednesday 11 March 20 20:52 GMT (UK) »
There are some of the Alexanders people that I don't know about specifically siblings, John Alexander, Davy Alexander b. Bef. 1917, Marion Ballantyne Hopkins Alexander, Margaret Alexander. All children of Hugh Alexander b. 1884 d. 1958 and Agnes Hopkins b. 1889 d. 1949.

Thanks.
Daniel

Hi Daniel

If you search Scotlands People for deaths with surname Alexander and mother's maiden name Hopkins (one entry shows as Hopkin), 9 entries show, all in Ayrshire.

Go to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk, and look in the statutory registers of deaths, using mother's maiden surname Hopkin*. There are 9 matches, including the four you have mentioned. You won't be able to download the death certificates as they are less than 50 years ago, but you could order them. Or you could use the dates of death and ages to work out the dates of birth, and view online at modest cost any born before 1920.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

There is also an online tree for Marion. With details from there and checking on SP now, you have:

Her birth is given as 5 December1908 in Tarbolton, Ayrshire. She married a James Bunyan White in 1929 in Tarbolton as per marriage index on SP. Her death from the death index on SP shows in Ayr in 1981 at the age of 72.

Sister Margaret Speirs Alexander? Born in 1910 or 11 in Tarbolton? Possible marriage for her Blythswood Glasgow in 1932 to a Robert Swan. A likely death in Ayr for her showing as Margaret Speirs Alexander/Swan in 1997 at the age of 86.

A David Speirs Alexander born 1916 in Tarbolton. Possible marriage you could check on SP to a Mary Margaret Quinn in Tarbolton in 1933. His death I think was in Ayr in 1991 at the age of 75.

Lastly, John born 1919 in Tarbolton. Harder to take a guess as to marriage as he could have married anywhere really and without a specific middle name, for a common name it is hard to know what could be correct. You would need to check his death reg which could be in 1987 in Mauchline at the age of 67.

Daniel, all of these are suggestions from searches. You need to verify yourself to confirm you have the right details and the only source as always for this will be Scotlands People.

Hey this is danielok. John Alexander married Jean Simpson, David married Elizabeth Clark though there is no marriage records on SP, also that  Margaret Speirs  Alexander is incorrect as she married William Strachan Mccolm
