« on: Thursday 12 March 20 11:10 GMT (UK) »
Hello everyone,  My ggg grandfather William Cullen is on the censuses as William, and on the birth I have found for his children, he is William,  so can anyone please offer me an explanation as to why he is "John" on his marriage certificate please ?

William has been written as 'Wm' as Dundee explained. There is no note after the marriage- the writing at the bottom is a declaration by the clergyman that the entries were made by him.
