looking for information on John Crosthwaite born 1843 Applethwaite son of Thomas and Eleanor he
married an Agnes or Mary Agnes born c1844 sometime before 1864 they had 4 children that i can find
any info would be gratefully received. Thank you

Mary Agnes Thompson  married Kendal reg dist. June quarter 1864.

Thank you sometimes she seemed to call herself Mary and other times Agnes so that’s very helpful

Which 4 children do you have?

There may have been an Alice born Jun 1866 who died Sep 1866.

I can see Anthony Wilson Dec 1868

Elizabeth Agnes Jun 1871

Thomas Jun 1879

Hi I have Mary Eleanor as well born 1864 married William Robinson 1887. Agnes sometimes calls herself Mary Agnes perhaps dropped the Mary after Mary Eleanor was born? Could well have been an Alice there is a 4 year gap between Mary Eleanor and Anthony Wilson.

Yes Mary was registered differently so I didn't find her at first.

She is under Crosthwaite with mothers name Crosthwaite as well.

The other children correctly have Thompson as mothers name.

I wonder if she was born before or after they married.

The marriage and the birth were both registered in Jun 1864 but don't know the exact dates for either.

There's quite a gap between 1871 and 1879.

Not sure what other info you want but

John born 1843 son of Thomas and Ellinor/Ellen Wilson married 1833 which makes sense of the Wilson middle name for Anthony comes in. 

In fact they have a son Anthony Wilson as well - brother to John.
