Have had a look for family. By 1911 parents James & Elizabeth had had 2 children of which only 1 (Emlyn) had survived. Can't find any other children after 1911 although the surname is a big issue (transcription).  Father James died in 1920 and mother Elizabeth (Hughes) remarried a Reginald Organ in 1922.

I confirmed the remarriage from a second UK, WWI Pension Ledgers and Index Cards, 1914-1923:

Record Type: Death
Military Service Region: Wales
Death Date: 29 Jun 1917
Service Number: 49378
Corps, Regiment or Unit: H.M.S. "VIVID"

Description: Pension Record Ledger
Reference Number:  5/D/3226
Next of Kin:  451037
Household Members Name
Emlyn James Halstone
Mrs Elizabeth Organ
Mr James Halstone

As you can see there is a second date of  death (?) 29 June 1917. Could not find any births for Elizabeth in her second marriage.  Elizabeth died 1944.

Finding a family Hughes in Wales could be quite difficult, and all the different variations of Halstone even more difficult.
