I've got almost completely up-to-date with all the mending, minor repair, "I'll do that when I've time..." jobs I've been putting off for ages! We've even fixed a wonky door, cleaned out the moss growing round the windows of one of our cars, cleaned the outside of the cat flap .... cleaned a load of slippy moss off a garden path, pruned / thinned out crowded branches on a potentilla and a philadelphus ( not really sure I should have done either at this time of year but ... what the hell, it's done now....
Wow! What might I have managed by the summer? Finally might get round to trying to improve my Italian? Finish off a half-made bobbin lace motif, still pinned to its pillow in the loft? (no: the reason it got abandoned was a cat came to live here, and several felines since then would all wreck it if I got it out and tried to continue) Might I even finally turn out the bulging drawer in the filing cabinet that has every payslip and bankstatement since the year dot, lurking there?
-Or I could take a glass of red and see if I can make a list of them, in order to prioritise the tasks ... when I get round to that.
