Thundersley, Essex
« on: Wednesday 25 March 20 16:51 GMT (UK) »
Been stuck on this one for a while. Trying to find information on Caroline Grigg who was born in Essex, Thundersley? c.1832/33. She married Robert Wayland in 1850 and died in 1909. Any information would be a great help. I have got noted that her parents were James Grigg and Elizabeth Sewell, however I'm not sure where this has come from. Thanks

Welcome to Rootschat

Do you have a copy of her marriage cert which should show her fathers name and occupation?

The 1841 has 2 entries for Caroline Griggs both born 1835 but one living in Loughton and the other in Stansted Mountfitchet.  Neither have parents as named in your post

Great find.  Did he by any chance marry a Dorcas as one of the 1841 entries just has a mother Dorcas

Thanks, I know for definite that Robert Wayland's father was William Wayland. However I know that the Waylands were travellers, thus hard to determine birth dates between through census records.
