yesterday evening I watched and enjoyed a modern ballet which I would certainly never have seen otherwise!

I love watching ballet at the theatre but have never found that it has the same magic on TV. However, I watched Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake on TV at the weekend, it was absolutely fantastic!  :D I had read about it previously and couldn't get my head around how having men playing the swans would work but they portrayed a different side from the elegant calm creatures we usually associate with them. Brilliant!

Totally agree with the pleasure of having more pennies in the bank - to spend on toilet roll  :D

And seeing blue tits flitting to the bird table is always a pleasure.

Certainly going viral for their efforts, Debra  :) ... Good family fun preparing and performing.

Another peaceful day here too, we're also on the flight path to Auckland airport Caroline and not far from a busy airfield so definitely quieter skyward. Have thought a few too many cars seemingly on a mission on the main road and some with 2 or more in them and noticed same when out other times this week while stretching the legs.  I crossed for a bottle of milk at the little food pantry a couple of minutes walk away, $3 NZ for 2 litre bottle, only pennies I've reached for since last week.

Was also unhurried in garden until I had an email around 4pm to say garden bag pickup would be early, please have ready by 2 April and will be collected by 6 th at latest ... so that gave me a hurry up, it's nearly full but not pushed down a lot and I'll probably be able to add a bit more before they come  :-\

Luckily dinner was still pretty much on time, 2nd half of yesterday's creation and no prep to do  8)

Playing Draughts with Sarah.

She let me win too.

 ;D

:-\ Have you also been playing Hey Hi with the greeting ? or testing my observation that I've only noticed it in last day or two. It's mostly Hi mare! but sometimes Hey mare!  :D

It's been a bit cold of late for cruising/sitting on the beach/the pub terrace but it is due to warm up over the weekend. Weekend, what is a weekend?
Our daily walks now seem to count for even more.
This AM we saw an ex-colleague of mine with his wife. The last time I was talking to him his wife had received some bad news so it was good to see them out walking together, although we didn't/couldn't stop for a chat.
