Clark family scottish miners in Kent
« on: Sunday 29 March 20 15:58 BST (UK) »
I have  Scottish ancestry and some of my Great-Great Grandfathers, Clark family left Ballachulish Appin for the Kent mines. Just wondering If anyone has a connection to this Clark family please.
Long shot I know.

That's a long way to come! Are you just looking for connections or do you want to know more about the family in Kent? As it is fairly recent history, you probably do know about them. (I was brought up in the area where the pits were.)

I sort of remember the coal mines in Kent.

The site seems to have disappeared. Very strange.

I would like to find relatives if possible
I know the Scottish side and have connected with many others connected to them. My own Grt-Grt Grandfather left Scotland,  in the late 1860s he married in Lambeth in 1870.
I know that some of the Clark men left and came down to Kent to work in the mines.

  Barry - try this.

Susan - Clark is a fairly common name. Do you have anything to go on?
