« on: Monday 30 March 20 00:49 BST (UK) »
There is this one specific person in my family that I cant figure anything about.
Hugh Alexander.
He is a brother of my great grandfather William Alexander.
All that I have is hugh was born 19/06/1907 he was the eldest sibling, his father was hugh alexander 1883-1958 and agnes hopkins 1889-1949 his siblings were Samuel 1917-2014 agnes 1923-2016 allan 1924-1988 john 1919-1985 marion 1908-1981 david 1915-1991 and margaret 1910-1962. Thats all I know, also hugh married Mary Leiper McCrooskie in 1934 Tarbolton.
I am specifically trying to find out when he died he is in Coilsfield Cemetery Tarbolton but because of all this covid-19 I cant get out to see it.

Have you looked for his death on Scotlands People?  www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Possible death in 1970 in Ayr but you may have to buy the cert if he died late in 1970 as it’s less than 50yrs so no download available

Wife Mary Leiper Alexander died 1978 aged 66

I knew Hugh Alexander of Stevenston, Ayrshire, probably born about 1945 who unfortunately died about 5 years ago.  I knew him from tenpin  bowling at Saltcoats in the 1960s and last met him at Ardrossan Indoor Bowls club where he was a member, about 6 years ago.
