John Herriot and Jane Pringle

Hi, I am looking for information on John Herriot and Jane Pringle, I have looked on s/p for marriage and death certificates but got no where. They had a son Hope Herriot he was born about 1826 in Haddington. On the 1841 census Hope was recorded as 15 years old, in Fala, 1851 census he was recorded with his wife Catherine, Berwick upon Tweed. He died 1888, Leith, Edinburgh. It is his parents that I am interested in.
