Hi
Hope iam in the correct place to discuss this problem I have .
I have a Canadian Discovery Plus Subs. which is supposed to allow me access to Worldwide ,census
civil.birth ,marriage and death records.
The problem that i'am having is that when I find a record that is relative I cant open it instead I get an Ancestry web page which says "curiosity must run in your family " and advising that I need a World Deluxe Subs. or I get a "there's more to see " I cant seem to make Ancestry understand my problem
is it my computer or are they just trying to get me to buy a more expensive Subsc.
thx for any help

Go into this page and it will tell you what you can and can't access with your particular sub.

Hi

too quote from Ancestry.ca Canada Discovery Plus Membership includes access to all records from Canada ,as well as to worldwide census and civil birth ,marriage and death records but it also says ,it doesn't include access to premium global records , last time I looked worldwide and global were the same !

Can you give an example of a type of record you are having trouble opening and from where? You don't need to put names.

Hi
Sorry for the delay.
I am researching William Kilpatrick b27jan1887 Lochwinnoch Scotland d1935 Victoria Australia and Christina Campbell Mccrimmond b1877 Dumbarton Scotland d1966 Victoria Australia.
I have been on Ancestry under Death , Burial ,Cemt. and obit.
I am quite sure that the 1935 death for William that is there is what I am looking for because of death info from another source but in order to cfm. I would like to see the details that seem to be available I. E. father ,mothers maiden name but I cant open it any further . the page that opens says "there's more to see " and "sign up now "but I already have a Subsc .that allows this record to be available to me I have no problem finding them on electoral rolls.
I have no problem opening the death notice for Christina in 1966 which shows me some details but I have to same problem opening her side of the marriage notice as I have with William's death notice .
This is probably as clear as mud ! maybe i'am doing something the wrong way ,hopefully someone can straighten me out
Thanks

Well, I can't help with why the death record won't open for you but I found this record for free through Victoria Historical BMDs...

Edited: well, the link won't work for me now but the record I found has father as James Kilpatrick and mother's maiden name Martin.

PB

Added: found the record again...

Looks like mother's first name is Agnes, William's place of death Wonthagg, age 49, year 1935, reg. number 18972/1935. You can apparently order a copy through this website but I don't know what it would cost or how secure the website would be.

This is a lot more info than you would have acquired from the ancestry entry  :)

Hope he's yours.
