« on: Monday 13 April 20 06:14 BST (UK) »
Hi there

Does anyone know where the above place/town is please? Mentioned in church records abt 1706. No luck with Genuki or another Gazetteer

Thank you
Meegan

I wonder if this is it - shown as Elf Hills in the parish of Hartburn https://maps.nls.uk/view/102346380#zoom=5&lat=1301&lon=4506&layers=BT

What a lovely story, Kay. The Heppells/Heples were around the area in the early 1700s, the one mentioned in the 1929 story.

I have seen it only as Elph Hills but sure it is the same place

Thank you
Meegan
